Day-by-Day 6-Day Tanzania Safari
00
Day 0: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO)

Greetings from Tanzania! Our amiable safari guide will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and take you to your lodging place so you can rest and recuperate from your trip on the next day. Your guide will give you a detailed briefing about your safari followed by the equipment check.

01
Day 1: Tarangire National Park

Take a full-day game drive with picnic lunches at Tarangire National Park following an early breakfast. Although nomadic wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest, and eland mass reduce ponds, herds of up to 300 elephants sift across the dry riverbed in search of alternate streams. A haven for predators, it has the highest concentration of animals outside of the Serengeti habitat. It is also the only location in Tanzania where dry-country antelope, like the stately fringe-eared oryx and the unusual long-necked gerenuk, are frequently sighted. It is the only national park that welcomes a variety of animal species and houses migrants during the dry season. Your lovely hotel in Karatu City is where you will spend the night and have dinner.

02
Day 2: Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, you will depart from your lodge and begin your scenic drive towards the legendary Serengeti National Park. Along the way, you will pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will have the opportunity to stop at the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint. From here, take in the breathtaking panorama of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, often referred to as the "Eighth Wonder of the World." The crater, formed by a collapsed volcano millions of years ago, is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five and the endangered black rhino. Continuing your journey, you will enter the vast Serengeti National Park, a name that means "Endless Plains" in the Maasai language. As you venture deeper into the park, the landscape transforms into open grasslands teeming with wildlife. Proceed with the game drive. As the sun begins to set, painting the savanna in golden hues, you will make your way to your lodge/tented camp for a relaxing evening.

03
Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti

This additional day allows you to explore more of the Serengeti's vast plains. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, searching for big cats, herds of wildebeest, and other abundant wildlife. Return to your camp for meals and overnight.

04
Day 4: Serengeti to Ndutu

After breakfast, you will proceed with game en route heading to Ndutu Plains for migration and calving season viewing. The Ndutu Region is part of Ngorongoro Conservation Area and stretches to the southern Serengeti. The great migration reaches here with its 2 million animals to give birth to their calves and thousands of animals are born daily between the end of December and the beginning of March. This also attracts many predators like lions and hyenas! The plains are characterized by short grasses, acacia trees, and soda lakes like Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek. After the extended game drive, your driver will take you to the camp for dinner and overnight.

05
Day 5: Ndutu Plains Full Day Game Drive

Full day game drive in Ndutu plains to maximize the chance of seeing the iconic migration and newborn animals during calving season. Experience the incredible concentration of wildlife and predator activity. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

06
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Full Day & Return to Arusha

Early transfer to Ngorongoro Crater for a full morning of game viewing. After a picnic lunch on the crater floor, drive back to Arusha where the safari concludes with drop-off at your hotel or Kilimanjaro/Arusha Airport for onward flights.
