Frequently Asked Questions
This 13-day group itinerary covers much of Northern Tanzania plus Mkomazi, so parks are great any time of year. The dry season (Jun–Oct) makes wildlife easier to spot and brings dramatic Mara River crossings; Jan–Feb offers the calving season in Ndutu. Shoulder months (Nov and May) deliver green landscapes with fewer people. We schedule the route to follow migration movements and accommodate group departures.
Choose between comfort lodges and luxury tented camps, all en-suite and well located for game viewing. We recommend multiple-night stays in Serengeti and Ngorongoro to reduce transfers and maximize wildlife time.
Yes—Ngorongoro is among the best places to spot black rhino; Serengeti and Tarangire excel for big cats, elephant and buffalo. While sightings are never guaranteed, the extended itinerary and expert guiding maximize your chances.
Pack neutral clothing and light layers for varying temperatures, plus a sun hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and insect repellent. Comfortable closed shoes, binoculars and camera gear are essential, and bring a warm layer for cool evenings in Ngorongoro and Moshi. Since this is a group trip, luggage should be limited to one medium-sized bag per person for easy vehicle loading.
Yes. We tailor pacing and lodge choices for families. Note that game drives involve time in the vehicle—breaks and interactive activities (like Mto wa Mbu cultural tour) help keep kids engaged.
