Day 1: Arusha — Tarangire National Park — Karatu
After breakfast, your private safari guide will pick up your group from your hotel in Arusha and begin the scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. Famous for its giant baobab trees and one of Africa's largest elephant populations, Tarangire offers outstanding wildlife viewing throughout the year. Enjoy a full game drive along the Tarangire River while searching for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, leopards, and a remarkable variety of birdlife. After a picnic lunch and an afternoon game drive, continue to the nearby town of Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.

Pack light, neutral-colored clothing (khaki, beige, olive green), a warm fleece or jacket for early morning drives, comfortable walking shoes, wide-brim hat, sunglasses, high-SPF sunscreen, insect repellent, binoculars, camera with extra batteries and memory cards, and any personal medications. A standard 4x4 Land Cruiser comfortably seats 6–7 guests in the back plus the driver-guide in front. For larger groups of 8–16, we use two vehicles travelling together, with two guides. This maintains the private experience while accommodating everyone. Larger groups of 17+ can also be arranged with a fleet of vehicles.
Group pricing is calculated as total vehicle cost divided by the number of guests. The more people sharing one vehicle, the lower the cost per person.
