Day 1: Arusha — Tarangire National Park — Karatu
Depart Arusha after an early breakfast for the two-hour drive to Tarangire National Park — the ideal opening destination for a private Tanzania safari. The park’s defining features are its massive baobab trees and the greatest elephant concentration in northern Tanzania. Elephant herds of 50–100 individuals drink at the Tarangire River in a spectacular, photogenic setting. Your private guide tailors the game drive to your specific interests throughout the day.
